Advice on providing grit for baby chicks

Our chicks are 6 days old and I am currently feeding them DuMOR Chick Starter/Grower. I have tried researching if I should also provide grit for the chicks or if it is contained within the feed for proper digestion but have had difficulty finding the information.

Should I also put a dish of grit in the brooder as well as the feed? Any information would be helpful.

Chicks do not need grit if they are just eating regular chick feed. When you start giving them treats or when they are outside and start eating grass or bugs, then you should start them on grit.
