Advice urgent rescued chicken

Poultry keeping regulations in the UK are a lot stricter than those in the US.
People in the UK are just as likely to abandon chickens as they are in the US. It's just the scale of poultry keeping in the UK is minuscule compared to the US so it's easy to be misled.

As someone who has lived in England since the day they were born and has kept poultry for a couple of years now, I’m not misled, those are my opinions and own experience.

Update: so it crowed yesterday. That explains why it was abandoned. Trying to find somewhere that will take it is a struggle. Any ideas? None of our local animal rescues will

Did you try to RSPCA? Best you can do if they won’t is to try and rehome him. The British Hen Welfare Trust have a cockerel rehoming page. I’d also try on Preloved and Pets4Homes.
