Well after a nice (

) night of insomnia, woke up at 2.30 this morning and nothing got me back to sleep. I went down and got a drink to find the door between Alfie and my mob open there was no cat in there just a growling chair, so I shut the door and gave him his favourite treat. Can someone please please give me some advise on how to get him and Tippy past this stage because from what I have seen its her doing the agressive bit on him and I really want him to be able to walk around the whole house. At the moment Miss Tippytail is being a smug moo and some what bossy.

Please can someone come in with some advise about the boy I really need it.

I have 3 cats mother son and daughter Queenie Tippy and Socks I have had them since 2004. Lucy I have had since 1998. In may of this year I aquired a british blue cat by the name of Alfie. His previous owner wanted him moved because she moved house and he was stressed by the move so peed on the carpet which meant he had to go. Now him and Tippy have had the odd spit and snarl sessions and she has smacked him about one time. Yesterday I found that she had got into his room again and he hid under a chair bed growling probably in fear. Now how do I get this fourth cat passed the hissing spitting sessions and get him so he can be in the rest of the house with the others. I have had no problems with him and the dog since her first meeting with him when she peed on him since then no problems but I do need to get him integrated with the other three cats and I have never done this before.

What I would do would be to leave them alone and eventually, the new cat will be allowed into the pack. Just give him a safe place to escape. The existing cats will resent it if you try to force a new cat on them, but at some point, they will realize that they aren't going to be able to drive him away.

Maybe someone with more cat experience will chip in, but that is what has always worked for me.

I will try it Tuesday, with any luck ther will be a couple of black silkie hens, buff orpingtons, rhode island red and a cream legbar in the cat run that might be enough to make them see he isn't so bad. I mean Queenie has never been as nice to Socks until she had to share a pen with a tail pecking bird

This is Tippy Tail and Alfie as you can see there is only one cat, that is one cat visible Alfie is hiding under the chair under the bossy boots known as Tippy tail.
