Well if you want a roo, keep the silkie. Some silkie roosters are mean, but most tend to be much milder personalities compared to other breeds. Though he probably will crow as much as any other rooster. At least with a silkie rooster, you have a better chance of having one that won't attack humans or hurt hens as much breeding them.

This is Caramel: not sure the Breed, Possibly Americana) Pretty Sure its a Pullet
This Oreo, I think is a Roo, ( Jersey Giant or a Black Star)

DD, My silky, the main Chicken i wanted, Is A ROO!!! UGH ( Ughly isn't he!) I will say is very curious, friendly and has a pretty cool personality all ready!
This is Meeps: I believe a Cochen, Thinking this is a Pullet
Sneakers, also a cochin? Pullet
Again I do NOT want any Roos... Only Hens/Pullets Very sad that DD is a Roo, as the lady I was getting them from got rid of all her birds, so now I have to find a home for what i believe are 2 Roos, and see if I can get a Pullet/Hen Silky and or a Pullet/Hem Polish to complete my collection!
this is neither a jersey giant due to wrong comb or a black star as those also have a single comb and are sex-link so boys would be a different color and this is a boy

I got them from a woman in Aston Pa, she would get a mixed batch of Fancy from a breeder, that she said are all Pure breeds? So she didn't know really what she had till they hatched then tried identifying them. I can always call her, I have to anyways, to see if she can find a home for the Roo, since I can't have them
