my fully grown (9 months) quails dont fly much, but when i do bring them out to the field,. sometimes they fly and maybe sometimes fly too hard? One of them has a wing that cant retract fully and seems to be in pain, not sure? Can they fly "too" hard that they dislocate some joint? Or hurt a muscle?

This issue happened twice before but she seemed to fixed it after a day or two.

Any ideas?

I had one do this when trying to escape me! The wing was droopy and had no muscle tone at the joint, so I thought it was dislocated. So I put it in place and bandaged her wing as if it was angel wing treatment and when I went to change it the next day it was totally normal???

no they are coturnix, but thankfully, she seems to be OK now. maybe just strained muscle? weird
Maybe it made her sore since they don't fly often i notice if my almost 6 week old button flys too much since she's learning she will end up yelling at me to cover her up so she can take a nap
