Be prepared with a q tip to apply pressure and stop bleeding if necessary.

Adding a tiny amount of coconut oil to the membrane covering the chick will allow you to see the blood vessel much more clearly.

If it's internally pipped then it's still absorbing it's yolk and needs more time in the egg. No harm done. You just basically added and oversized safety hole.

If you see a beak but it can't get through into the aircell you'll need to pip for it. The problem is you'll need to be extremely careful not to hit the blood vessels or it'll bleed.

If you don't see a beak its malpositioned.

I think it’s malpositioned. The beak is on the side of the egg. What do I do now? I put coconut oil on top of the membrane through the hole.

P.S. I don’t see the beak from the hole, only when candling.

I keep peeling farther but I can’t find the damn beak!!!

Could be anywhere. They get themselves into some odd positions. How much blood are you seeing?

If it's absorbed it's blood you're much safer to go poking around with a qtip from the top of the egg to find the head/beak.

Thin vessels. There’s a thick one on the other side from my hole.
