Aggressive and nicest breeds of chicken?

Aggressive breeds I've owned are bantam d'Anvers and LF Wyandottes. I like the d'Anvers though, because they can't really do any damage, while the Wyandotte was quickly turned into grilled chicken.
The most gentle breed I've owned is the Buckeye.

I have never owned an aggressive hen.

It's fun to note how some breeds are nasty for some people and lovers for others.:)

As a side note, I wrote another post about my 10-year old EE roster who, while not especially aggressive early in his life--he would make a run at me but stopped short of an attack--once he lost control of the flock to younger roos, became a pet. Hormones may have a lot to do with it as well.

Another thing to add: Right now I have adult 7 chickens--2 EE Roosters, 3 australorps, a sliver-laced wyandotte, and a brown leghorn. I'm trying to bring 6 production reds that are 9 weeks old into the flock and the leghorn is aggressively keeping them out. I'm having a dickens of a time getting these new birds to stay with the adults and, if they go out, get them back inside at night. The leghorn is constantly harassing them. So, again breed doesn't seem to be as much a contributing factor as the individual bird.

The only roos I have owned were white leghorns, and they started to attack my kids..so no more leghorns, right now I have a young EE roo, and we are working with him to keep him tame, and as far as hens go, I believe the leghorn hen is the meanest, she is always chasing the other chicks from the food or even if they get too close to her. The nicest hen I have is a red sexlink, she will walk right up to you and want to be held.
Sex links are super sweet as are the ISA and the giant breed Brahmas

I only have hens (BO, silkies, EE) and they're all very friendly breeds but I'd say EE are the nicest so far. She'll come running when we call and lets anyone pick her up. She's probably too nice so she's at the bottom of the pecking order.

Easter eggers aren't a breed, you can pretty much not expect anything from
Them,it could be a total surprise.Easter eggers don’t really have a reputation (like a lot of breeds)because their just mutt chickens and you can end up with a million different personalities with them,I’ve had flighty ones, to cuddle ones.

I have had Australorps, hen was gentle the roster got aggressive and went into the pot. I also had golden laced Wyandottes, Americana, buff oprington all the hens were gentle and did well with each other.

Now I have an isa red, barred rock, buff orpington and barnevelders which are 7 weeks. All seem pretty friendly right now but we will see.
