Hello, So I have a problem and im not sure how to deal with it. About 2 months ago a horned owl killed one of my roosters so I decided to get a Turkey, She has been great up to this point, infact she is still enjoys talking to me, following me and being petted. However about 2 weeks ago I went outside to my coop (we let them free range during they day and lock them up at sunset after the owl event) and I found 3 of my hens dead and a wild baby turkey I had just nursed back to health dead. Now at the time I thought that owl had returned but as of today I know it was my turkey. Going out to let them roam and give them food and fresh water I see my female turkey viciously attacking my 2 month old Mallard. He is in rough shape but he can still eat and drink and has no open wounds so I know he will pull through, but I am at a lost for words on what to do. She is still being a sweat heart to myself but now im scared about her going after my 2 older ducks who are like familly to us. At night I will no longer be penning her in the coop with any other of my birds. Will that be enough? I have a small homestead and have found a real passion raising chickens and ducks (stumbling along the way but im trying) Any suggestions would be most welcomed!
