Aggressive Mom

So our Lav Orpington hatched out 9 chicks and was a model mother for a month. Now, she has become aggressive toward them and chases them away from her. Is this normal behavior? I get that she is probably ready to send them on their way and get back to her life...but she's kinda mena to them.
