Ahh the wonders of feed store bins... (updated POL pullet pics)

Fred's Hens :

It's kinda doubtful you'll know for sure, from the chick pictures. You'll just have to kind of wait and see what she grows into.
TSC or AgWay or any other store buys from the same hatcheries, so likely she is indeed one of the black mystery chicks that so many got earlier as well.
Hatcheries sell what they sell. When a chain store like AgWay or TSC orders boxes and boxes of chicks, there are mistakes and then there are just... well..... OK, they sell them the hatches, whatever they happen to be; odd crosses, mutts, mixes, etc. Hey, it happens all the time. No big deal.

Yup

I got some strange little bird from MPC that doesn't match anything on their site. Definitely a mutt, but she's sweet as pie and my absolute favorite.

To the OP: come back in a few weeks and post updated pics to this thread. It'll be interesting to see what she turns into!

Yup, whatever that chick (mutt-cross-hybrid) the hatcheries sold through the feed stores this year, it is a bit of a mystery. Looks to be dead twin to the four I got. At three weeks, the breast began to sprout kind of a golden laced type feathers on some of them. Same green legs too. As I say, I just gave mine away at 4 weeks to a fella who needed hens.

wrong color legs i think

. BRs and RIRs both have yellow legs. true, she might be part RIR

maybe RIR/EE? i don't know, she's got to be part light breed because she's lighter than the BR

Here's what my mystery pullet from said bin at TSC looked like at 3 wks (I got 4 of them):

This particular one is actually one of the friendliest (of 16) chicks that I got!

This last Saturday I hatched 5 chicks that come from this mixed roo (not sure what), and a black star and new hampshire red and a couple chicks came out looking just like yours,, maybe its a second gereration black star..

Uhmm... I don't think you'll be getting any eggs at all from that chick, OP if its tail feathers aren't coming in as fast, then I would say its a roo...
