Ahhhhhh the tiniest egg ever! Did my 15-16 week old mixed pullet Amelia lay it? Or was it one of my year old hens?

It would be so cute! I'd do anything to get a chick that small that would stay super small forever! My quail are already almost three weeks old, but I wish they could stay tiny ♥️

Ps: I'm not squishing them in my hand, they used to run in it and get pats
Oh how sweet my chicks always liked to cuddle too!

Sorry bout the egg shells it was hard to crack!

That's the case in most fairy eggs. Surprisingly, mine was a double yolker

What quail are those?

That's amazing! If I had a double yolk egg, whether small or not, I would try hatching it as an experiment! If it was fertile, of course. And if it was a fairy egg, even with one yolk I'd try to see how far it develops or if it develops at all. Has anyone even tried to hatch one, or is it just common knowledge that they can't hatch?

Double yolkers aren't good for hatching. Plus, you don't know you have one until you crack it open. And then it's obviously unhatchable
