AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! WHY do people let their cats out at night!!?????????

This probably doesn't help much, but happy, well-fed outdoor cats also wander a lot, usually in quest of things to kill. You really can't blame the owners for their cat's wandering.

Actually, we once had an indoor-outdoor cat (he could come in and out anytime-that was the last time we had THAT arrangement) and one day he just vanished.

I feel your pain, though. Nobody likes hurting another's pet. (Well, except Teddy Roosevelt)

So sorry.

At least a clean kill is easier on the senses and memory. It's gut wrenching when it doesn't happen that way. Sadly, I think many of us have been there

at least as a passanger. Put it out of your head and move on (I know...easier said than done).

I have just started letting my cats out in our fenced yard, but I know the risk is there for them to get out of the yard and die.If I was handy I would be building a cat run. Some people have built the most awesome outdoor enclosures for their cats.Lol,I would buy their homes just for the enclosure!

Sorry you had to go through this.I feel bad when I hit a squirrel and those things drive me nuts at home!
