I am so sorry for your loss. Sad thing is that it does happen. Labs I know can go for about $500-$1000. I was blessed and got my husbands lab for next to nothing only because the guy knew where the pup was going. I know he had no issues selling what he had. Lab's are great dogs and very (let me stress) VERY loyal. I am so glad we got him because he have had so many home break in's around my area. Our lab will be taking full police training so ha watch out if you wanna rob my home

From the pictures looks like your pups are American Labs ? They don't look like the English ones that are shorter and stocky.

Maplesky, your labs sound wonderful & I'm sorry about your circumstances. What would be a price you could pay? This might be the last litter for the breeder as it's getting difficult to sell all his pups also due to the economy and that movie Marley and Me.

I thought for a moment two had passed but then I understood it was one just restated facts.

And lol about Marley and Me. After I came home from the hospital I rented the movie thinking it would make a funny family movie... but then me and my 7 year old sat there and bawled like babies.

And my heart literally hurt... I mean it hurt. I know there's a stent in there and all but I never imagined that if I watched a sad movie it would hurt. geesh. I must be sensitive.

Oh boy...I don't really have any kind of money to spend. I'm trying to get my township to help me cover my gas and electric bill right now. They got a little out of control since my hospital stay and medical bills... and well, dh stopped sending as much money home. But I'm buddies with the village president and he's a good guy and told me that I'm not alone and to contact the township because they can help me get caught back up. So as much as we'd love to have one of those sweet pups... we just don't have anything extra right now. But save my soul I would take one in an instant. They sure are cute and sure would get loved on here.

I'd give anything for a snuggle.

Yes, labs are so loyal and wonderful companion dogs. <3 & Maplesky, I'm sorry again about your situation and I hope things will work out for you and your children.

What's odd is that I haven't seen Marley and Me! (I know, I know, shame on me) But I did hear that the end was heartbreaking, and I'm such a sucker for animals of all types that I would probably burst into tears. ): But I will get the courage to do it sometime soon.

I read the history on the dogs and found it really interesting. I think the black and white photos were great too. I even saw that Napperville, Illinois was mentioned... I think that's not too far off from where I am. So neat to read about their lines...and yes, how one was brought in from overseas...how very cool.

I have to put my faith and trust in the Lord. I've felt physically, emotionally, and Spiritually tapped and drained from the road we've traveled lately. I do have stress but I also have this sense of peace that everything WILL be ok, you know? I know God loves me and my children and I know He knows our hearts. I don't know what lies ahead for us but I have a feeling its going to get better. I trust that things will get better. Praise Jesus things will get better.

...and I have to agree, those are the cutest stinken pups ever.
