Hi! Do any of the Fort Payners have a vet that does the test that chickens need for shows? Pullorium, etc? I'm going to a show in far-off TN, and his testing needs to be done first. I have 2 vets- my main vet in Rosalee (Shavers) and a vet in Trenton. Neither do poultry. AND the extension agency acted like they never heard of it! They let the 4-hers show without anything! Wow.

Thanks,
Pam Pittman

Welcome, Welcome to all the newbies. Even the one from GA.;) We'll just let anybody in here as long as they are willing to say ROLL TIDE.:lau Anyway, Here it is for those who have expressed interest in obtaining one of my ameraucana hens. I have a very limited number available. If you are interested you may pick up here or I will deliver to the Chicken and Egg festival in Moulton. These will be presales only. I will not be bringing extras and please consider this a commitment as I don't want to bring these back home. I have other plans. I can also bring hatching eggs for the ams, bantam cochins, easter eggers, olive eggers, BCM or blue and black orps which may be split to lavender. Chicks for these breeds may also be available to presales. Please let me know if you are interested as 3 hens are already spoken for. Feel free to send a pm or contact me on my facebook page @ Self Creek farm.
SO beautiful and those eggs are to die for! I really do need to invest in more ee's

Ty for the answers. I candled some of them last night. I can still see movement. I have turned them big bottom end up, also done last night. I will candle some tonight to see if there is still movement. I have about 70 eggs(quail-bobwhite). I have 4 more days to go(18th day) before I stop turning, right? If so, what should the humidity be today and what should it be the last few days while not turning?
