Alaska Chicken Lover's Soup for the Cold!!

Stormy - In honor of our dog Stormin Norman that left us last night. Stormy had a rough ride as a hatching egg, and we weren't sure he was gonna make it. He hatched sometime last night.

So what is the best way to protect against minks, weasels, and martins? I have a six foot chainlink fence for the runs and the coops have vent holes covered in hardware cloth. I'm thinking to install an electric fence but wonder how that does with snow. Any thoughts?

BB, if an ermine wants your birds, there's not a whole lot you can do. However....we bought the hardware (plastic) cloth from Walmart. It has tiny holes in it and reinforced the chain link at the bottom
with the cloth. It has much smaller holes than the chain link....Mink arent so much to worry about unless you live near water..... Any of these guys will find a way in if they really want in...Youre just keeping
em honest.
