Are you sure you know better? I don't see how they can unwrap themselves!
If you get a good line of that breed going, I would love to get in on a few in the future.
They are simply beautiful! And we do not want to get into shipping of eggs or chicks from the lower 48. In house or local breeder for us!

You are totally right, about both things. What was really interesting was that the box was not damaged in ANY way. So how did that happen? Arrggghhhhh!!!

I hope to have a good line of these - someday - and I'll keep you posted on how that goes. So FAR it's not gone well, but I love them and will keep trying... It would be nice to have a few people doing them up here. I'd much rather get eggs close by!

You got it if I get some. I put 5 of these (+ 3 cracked and waxed ones) in the bator, so we'll see. He is sending more this coming week so I should get a few.

I already PM'd Paula the results of our hatch, but here it is for y'all. We have 28 beautiful babies!! Five did not hatch. One of those was a late quitter and the others failed to pip the aircell. I did not have the heart to open them to see what went wrong. I did candle them and it seemed that the aircell was rather large. Or I should say larger than I expected.

Congrates BirdBrain great hatching.

Ban seabhag sorry to hear about your eggs. I hope your hatch goes well and the new ones arrive in better condition.

I have just completed my first hatch of the year. 48 went in ...3 were duds before going into the hatcher and 45 healthy happy chicks are in the brooder. These are BO roo x BR, BO x BO, RIR roo x BR, RIR roo x BO Don't know which is the RIR x BO but I think the black ones are the sex links I was hoping for.
