Oh Im always willing, depends on what you want to pay for them though! lol.....(kidding).........

This is our first hatch with the BCM, Im pretty excited to see what all will come out of this. If you look close, you can see I squeezed two more in there on top! You just have to sit back and laugh at yourself once
in awhile.

We have Dellies, Light Brahmas.with Dellie roo and the BCMs are in their own pen...and a few mix layers in with them.

Im working on my page here on BYC...I have some photos up but not many.

Oh dear!! I was just looking on BYC here at the table (using my iPhone) and when my DD and I were exclaiming over the pretty BCM eggs my DH just groaned. I would like some too. Local is better than shipped any day of the week. Maybe in April I can get some from you. What is your price?

DH just passed behind my chair and read what I had written. "Dear, I groaned because I am old." Yeah right!!

Deb, those two extras are your contingency eggs--just in case you have some quitters. I've done that before as well.

Oh goodness, I wouldn't even know what to charge! I think they are about $5-8 each when you order them online......I started out with chicks that were $12 each. I was thinking around $50 for a dozen...but this is Alaska so who knows what the folks up here would pay!

If Im way off base please let me know. I really have no idea...I do know that I'd like to stay within the market price so that the market doesn't become saturated. Trades are always good too!

Oh good, so Im not out of my mind sneaking two more in there? haha......I just see these eggs each day. They went in yesterday and thought, oh whats two more!

I thought those Lower 48 prices included shipping. Hmm. DH would probably be doing more than groaning. How about a trade. I make killer whole wheat brownies and whole wheat bread in loaves or rolls. I also make handcrafted soap. Any of that sound interesting?

Your price sounds like what others are paying.
I am going to guess though, as the breed gains in popularity, it will trickle down a bit.

Thanks!

I have these guys that are in the bator going for $6-8 (SR) once they hatch. It depends on my electric bill .. LOL!

Deb, which breeder did your BCMs come from? My ignorance is going to start showing...I didn't know anyone was shipping day old BCMs. I thought it was all eggs.

More ignorance here: I have heard of Bev Davis lines and think I have heard of WJ (what does that stand for?). What are the other major players in BCMs?
