Maybe someone will PM you about that. I have almost no experience with them and probably won't have. I am sorry to hear about your loss. Thats a heartbreaker.
Deb, that is great! Kudos to Norman!

The eggs I got were pretty dark and these guys were really efficient at getting out. So maybe that's a good gene LOL! Will see what we get here, but I planned to keep a couple of roosters and 4 pullets if I get them. That leaves 6 or so. I bet I can send some your way Tori! ( I know Deb wanted a pullet too.)

I get a kick out of the little guy up front. He kept falling asleep!

He/she was the last one out today, so it's still getting caught up with the rest..

Congratulations MissDeb~! Cuteness overload!
candling didn't look promising.....but other than an egg that was spotted black on outside I didn't remove any yet. the black spotted one, I figured had a bateria problem, and not wanting it to spread to the others I removed it. decided I would crack it open and have a look.....well it was viable on the inside when I opened it, veining, and movement. oops. But I am still pretty sure it would have contaminated everything. I have never seen a pink egg go into a bator and come out with Black spots~

I did see movement in a few of the eggs, a few others looked to have a light ring, not sure so left them for the 14th candling. I will try to remember to reweigh them all 1 more time, before I toss any. I weighted tonight as well and it seems, that most of the eggs lost 0.1 ounces...in the last 3 days. so I think humidity is about right.

@ Deb... I could have gotten them to line up!!!

j/k... I like it when there's one "oddball" not doing what they're supposed to.

On the bunny-front, Pandora is NOT being a good mother.

With only two babies you'd think they'd be fat little ticks, but she hasn't cleaned them up (we've done it 3 times now), but at one point she tried and wound up nibbling off half of one of the babies' ears!!

They had a bunch of the "tar" on their butts, which stuck to the fur and wrapped around their limbs, so now we have some deformities.

I'm about to

her!!

Tori,

You can always take them away from her, and twice a day flip her upside down in your lap. Put the babies on her belly so they can nurse and just keep them inside with you. Let them nurse until they lose interest.

We've been doing that.

We had no trouble at all with Annie, another first-timer, but Pandora doesn't seem to want to have anything to do with them. She goes in the box, but I don't know what she's doing in there. Maybe she thinks they're Peeps...that's why she ate the ear?
