I checked with Carla and she says her DH sometimes makes a labeling error. Its a blue silkie, she is quite sure. She was very apologetic but its a beautiful chick. I though it was a mutt, albeit and odd one, but she is certain not. I'll get a picture here when I get back. It also has much feathering down the legs. Cute little blighter.
I was thinking I will tell my Super Sidekick I have a license and have to hatch.... but that won't work for me.

We're just jealous Tori.

Oh yes, I've been certifiable as a hatchaholic for a couple of years now.

I fully admit it, and own up to the name Crazy Chicken Lady. (I expect hubby to pipe in any time...)

OK, here's the egg stash as of this morning. Now, keep in mind, I set quail, chukars and pheasants on Mondays, chickens on wednesdays, and turkeys/ducks on thursdays... shipped eggs get set when they get here...

Eggs come out of the incubator on Mondays and are moved to separate hatchers. Chickens will go in tomorrow only to start stockpiling again. There's close to 60 duck eggs, there, and almost a dozen turkey eggs, 6 dozen chicken eggs. And this is a light week. And I get to do this EVERY WEEK.

You need to find a home for that silkie, you just call me.

I have some buddies for it.

I need a slogan, something like James Bond... Double oh (?), license to hatch.

BTW, Aimee, was it you or Stephanie that was drooling in my incubator room?
big_smile.png

I am drooling over those eggs! What a stash! For just a week?

Double 0 dozen!
She's too cute Tori, I think I'll keep her (him?)
I got my bee hive in and pretty wet into the bargain....So today the sun is shining...Go figure.

.
Oops.
I would love to be able to incubate lots of stuff. We are thinking about coop designs, since my dh has agreed a bigger coop is necessary, but I don't want to get too out of control, have you seen the price of lumber lately? $15.97 for 7/16 OSB!
