Ash are you using a digital Thermometer? You might want to ask Amy if that is normal for her unit to do that. Her thermometer might be off just a tab. Placement
of thermometer can also make it read high or low. I place mine on the turner if I have room. If not I lay it on top of the eggs....I just know that when it's on the turner
it'll read lower than when on top of the eggs.

With mine, I know how they each respond and when it says it's 100.2, it's really 99.0......that type of thing.....

Ok.
Well, Amy said "Whatever Temperature is in there, it's the right one, so don't worry about it". So I won't.
Ok all. I am going to go put the eggs in now.
Dear Creator help me NOT to drop any! LOL

PS. I also have a Surprise!

Well I called the Post Master yesterday and it sounds as though that ugly
situation at the Annex the other day will be handled. I guess I wasnt the first one
to complain. I told her if nothing else I just wanted to be sure that other boxes
weren't handled in such a way. That this time of year when marked fragile and perishable it
should be assumed that there are eggs in the box. I politely also pointed out to her
that I came in looking for my eggs, and had mentioned the word "eggs" more than
once to him and he still acted that way........

There is one person I would totally trust handling eggs at the Wasilla PO, and that is George. The elderly guy that takes forever, but is very sweet and careful with everything. We love him!

Glad you reported that guy.

Good, maybe someone will give HIM a shake. You shouldn't be treating fragile boxes that way no matter what's in them. That's why "fragile" is on there for heaven's sake! That was just obnoxious behavior on his part.

You might want to back up with more than one thermometer Ash, I have been known to use 3.

And yes that's excessive but I wasn't confident of either at the time. Few of them seem to be calibrated quite the same.

Made a BooBoo this morning.
I freaked thinking the Bator wasn't "bating" because the temperature was at 61, and I freaked.
Called Poor Deb for RESCUE, all the meanwhile the Thermometer sensor was OUTSIDE the bator.!!!

Darned Polish genetics again! UGGGG
