I have alot to do today, since I won't be working today....
Springcleaning inside and out, plus I have eggs to candle today!

Humidity is holding at 35....Temp between 99.5 and 100.3.

Just candled my Bobwhites, out of 40 shipped, only 4 were clear!

I sure hope someone needs quail....!

I have to head for Kodiak on the 14th (so far) and I think we will be heading back the 23rd or so. This is up in the air. The Bear's Dad is in the hospital for the second time in 3 weeks (he's 92) so I may have to miss that trip...

Hoping fpr the best there.

Deb Mr. Mondo is just like one of the crowd today. He has 4 of the BCM girls with him now, and a few more (wyandottes) will go in today. It's looking good.

Wow, Ronny, candling already? Isn't this only three days or so? Some are harder to see through, especially Fern's dark speckled ones, so just don't toss any until much later, maybe 10-12 days. Crossing fingers that they made the trip okay!

Oh, I see, LOL. Was wondering what super powered candler she had that we needed to know about! Even with my slide projector, it's hard to see anything at three or four days, reliably anyway.

Tomorrow is the big day!
I will be at the organic produce pickup at Wolf Lake Wellness, with meat chick contracts, Kombucha Scoby's, and, if I can tear myself away from all the fun I am having in the yard and garden, I will have some cloth pad samples out as well!
Pray we get some orders! It will greatly help our costs in raising the ones we need for the freezer.

We will pick up chicks the day after the eggs under one broody hatch, and we will try and sneak as many as possible under her, and the other hen who is sitting on dummy eggs right now.
