They will be with the layer flock this fall......they will be allowed to roam with the chickens. I hear you can
train them to go to the coop at night just like you do your chickens...so that'll be fun!
 
That would be me (and WW) and they are Appenzeller Spitzhaubens from Switzerland. Polka dot white with top knots. Very pretty. Good layers too I am told. They are named for the traditional ladies hats worn there, which do look remarkably like the top knot

Deb those top hats are very cute by the way. The only one I have is on the skittish side but only if I try to pick her up. She is all over my feet otherwise...

WW I don't know if you have ever seen a picture of that hat..I'm not sure how good this will show, but its very like don't you think?

My favorites for sweet are the Lavender bantam ameraucans on the porch. They follow everyone passing the length of the cage asking to be picked up. When you set them down at eye level they walk back and forth close to your face singing.
