It's tough I know. I had so many friends and colleagues lose cabins in the Miller Reach fire... It's a pretty helpless feeling... Tragic all around. Especially good thoughts for the firefighters...

Omygoodness yes the firefighters do everything they can and some things they should try but do because they have such a huge heart! Its just to many fires not enough fighters. I hate it when our friends have been in danger this is a first for me not so much of a good feeling being unable to do anything really

Yea the hubby has 18 years being a Prof FF and has been doing it since he was 16 on the Jr FF back home for him. Its amazing he hearts that any firefighter an even more so the people who so it for "free" as some people put it. I guess they dont understand the time, training, and effort that goes into being a Volunteer.

Yep, I know all too well, but we didn't handle many Forestry fires when I was with Moose Creek FD, I was with them as a JR Fireman at the age of 15 until I was 19 then went to NSFD in North Pole for a year after that.
I was hurt playing racquetball many moons ago which took me out of FFing.....Once a firefighter always a firefighter though, it'll never leave your blood!

OG yes Firefighting is in the blood!! My hubby is like the 9th generation, and my crib midget wasnt even able to walk yet and saw his first fire and was hooked!!

Again thank you all please keep them coving if you can!

Yep... it's scary. I watched the vet do the inspections at our fair down here. He's good, but some of the stuff these birds have might not be readily visible. Quarantine is a must. I did see him send home a few animals...
