Albino Coturnix

Albinism is a chance mutation that prevents the color pigments from forming properly, I'm not sure that genetics matter all that much. It's possible a specific genetic line could throw more albinos than usual for some reason or another, but most of the time it's just that minor random chance.

Albino is a recessive gene and can also be carried/passed on. For example, albino bred to non-albino will result in all non-albino chicks carrying the albino gene. If you breed these chicks back to the albino parent you’ll have 50% of the new chicks being albino. Or if you breed two albinos, all offspring will be albino.

Right, I know it's genetic. I didn't phrase that very clearly- I meant that I suspect that particular coloration of chick from that particular breeder probably doesn't have any higher chance of an albino than any other coloration from the breeder.
