ALERT!! I FOUND A CHICK WHO WAS UPSIDE DOWN

Soni found a chick about...I'm guessing a month or more old. I found him caught on a wire with one foot and he was soaking wet and cold. I freed him and warmed him up with a blow dryer. it's male. He warmed up but falls to the side (which is the stronger side). He also leans his head back but still moves it all around. Please help !!

A chicken chick or wild bird chick? Maybe get some towels or something to put on each side of him to prop him up right. Then just keep him warm and see if he will drink anything, maybe make a soft mash out of chicken feed for him.

UPDATE: He's alive but still won't walk and leans his head all the way to the back. I tried to feed him and give him water but he won't drink

Sounds like wry neck, which is a nutrient deficiency. I can't remember what you are supposed to give for this issue.

Was he dangling by his leg? May have some joints out of place.

But if it’s wryneck, or even if it’s not, I’d give some Nutridrench, full strength, a drop or two if you can, followed by some clear water.

If you can get it into the chick, the treatment for wry neck is vitamin E oil 400iu plus a sliver of selenium. Do it once each day until he's holding his head straight.

Come on, fellas..... let's use logic here. If he had wryneck he wouldn't be able to jump and hang himself on a wire. Probably just needs time to recover, be patient.

Wry neck can be worsened or exibit after trauma. If they are already low on essential nutrients trauma drains them of those things as the body tries to heal.
