Alien looking egg

What do I make of this? Any advice? Chicken is fine. Eating, active as normal. One year old Buff Orpington.

Looks like a bit of albumen and a layer of membrane -- sometimes not all the moving parts involved in constructing an egg fire on schedule -- in this case ovulation of the yolk didn't occur and the shell gland didn't coat things. Until/unless things like this become routine vs. exceptional there is little to worry about/do.
