I am being very lazy. It is cool enough now to sit outside wearing a fleece and most of the mozzles are gone now, so I picked a basket of apples and am sitting with the chickens sharing the apples.

Good morning all.

I have a quick apple story. Mrs BY Bob was sitting with me under the tree eating an apple the other day. Hattie especially is interested in anything which Mrs BY Bob might be eating. Hattie was waiting patiently for some apple when Mrs BY Bob finished and decided to share the core with her. She held it out and Hattie started pecking. In no time a crowd gathered and that was overwhelming for Mrs BYBob. There was shoving and hard pecking so she decided to throw the core away and let them eat it away from her. She did a little wind up and Aurora turned to see where the core had gone. Then Mrs BY Bob flipped the core hitting poor Aurora in the back of the head! This caused Aurora to panic and flap her wings to fly away. Everyone scattered flapping and squawking. Even Mrs BY Bob was frightened by all the flapping and squawking as well.

Aurora was fine as it frightened more than hurt her. She even came back first to eat the core. Mrs BY Bob was so unsettled by everything that after apologizing to Aurora she had to go back inside the house.
