One of the original 8… the OGs!!!!
Leader of all flocks! Not one to ever come for pets or hugs.. she can kind of be a bully to some but is very devoted to her two sisters that she’s been with from the beginning. Ever watchful over Maryn as she is ailing. She is very talkative.. was broody once in her life just recently but only for a short while. She tolerates the heat better than most… must have something to do with coming from Australia … I really do believe that! And survived the dog attack that took most of her flock! She is still laying eggs regularly! This girl is healthy and doing fantastic! Australorps are one of my favorite breeds!!! Nicknames.. Posey Rosie.. always posing for pics!

The future of beloved cockerels is a big worry! Iwas so lucky when the vet nurses found a wonderful home for the last cockerel at my place.

Yes! It very much is! I just brought the last three boys to a girl this evening who breeds and shows her chickens in shows… she breeds true Americaunas (spl) and she gave me two for a trade… I think she said the white is Ermine and the other a blue… I was very impressed with her place and all of her birds are GORGEOUS!!!! So I am very happy with where these lil guys went!
Here are the two… she is almost positive that they are girls but she said sometimes they are really hard to tell… but if they are boys she’ll take them back!

Second in command under Rosemary.. is a very fair leader… never a bully… would sit in my lap ALL day if I let her! If I go sit in with them she will peck me HARD until I pick her up she is my nearest and dearest.. my all time fave! She survived the dog attack… now mostly lays around… she walks with a limp but will still come running (as best she can) for treats and can still manage to get up and down from roosts. She also tolerates the heat better than the others.
