All My Chickens..... a coop opera!

Pics
Good morning!! Waiting on hubby to spray some texture to the patches he had to fix so I thought today would be a good day to integrate the babies!
I went very well!! They had fun exploring! View attachment 2647384View attachment 2647385View attachment 2647386View attachment 2647387View attachment 2647388View attachment 2647389View attachment 2647390View attachment 2647391View attachment 2647392
Lovely!
Question for you, in the last 3 pictures there is a ramp - do they use it? It is steeper than my ramps and mine don't seem so keen. I can't decide if it is because I have flying chickens who wouldn't use a ramp regardless of steepness or if my ramp is too steep.

Yes... all of them use it... even the babies have started already...

I will inform the Princesses to get over themselves because I don't have time to make a longer (less steep) ramp right now!
They are waiting for the servant to carry them! They ARE princesses after all!! 😂

Okay... I went out at roost time and they were running about... all the big gals had already gone up... so I caught each one and placed them on the roost in my smaller section where no one really sleeps anymore.. on occasion someone will. Well, they were not too happy about it... Daisy especially! But I hung around a bit and reassured them that that is what they are supposed to do... and they finally settled. I will try and go out early tomorrow morning and let everyone out in the yard so the babies will get a chance to eat! I would go out now and check on them and get some pics but it’s really hot and muggy... soooooo

Oh! And here’s some Louisiana excitement.. this was right across the street from my house in my neighbors yard! He sent me these pics.. we went over there to see but the alligator had went down his culvert... they called some peeps to come get it out... they did get it! Said it was about six feet... 😳
