Yes. One of my favorite sayings that my boss hates is: "If I make a bad decision here, no one dies and it just costs money."

I love that and keeps everything in perspective.
At work last week we had a nightmare of an issue involving a possible data breach and at one point one of my colleagues sent around a wonderful e-mail that read 'calm down everyone, last time I checked you are not managing a nuclear reactor'
Made me smile.

That is great. This saying is now very close to my youngest daughter's mantra.

"If I make a bad decision here, no one dies and it just costs money."

She used to be a prosecutor in a crime riddled city. She was a great trial attorney with a 75% conviction rate in an office with a 35% overall conviction rate. They involuntarily moved her to sex crimes. She could not take telling victims that no one believed their story when she lost. She told her superiors she would quit if not moved from the unit. They refused. She quit. They acted surprised.

She now works for an insurance company. As she says, "if I lose now, the company is out some money. No biggie".
