It’s funny cuz MahMuh will fly up to a hanging out roost that I have in the corners of the coop and they are pretty high for bantams… but she gets up there and the babies want to get by her but they can’t… except today I saw the black one up there with her… she can make it cuz she is the only one with smooth feathers… the frizzles can’t fly very well apparently

I guess it makes sense that soft, curly feathers wouldn't resist the air currents as well as rigid feathers.
