You've got a welsummer, a mix, an australorp and a mix breed cockerel, he is not BR
Okay thank u so you say my other brownish birds that aren't welsummer are a mixed breed? And what do you think my rooster thay I thought was BR is mixed with??

Yes the other bird is a mix. The rooster/cockerel isn't a BR because it's not double barred, plus he has brown male specific feathering, can't really distinguish any other breeds in him, he's just a barnyard mix

Okay, normally he doesn't have the brown/ yellow on him he is just black and white, I have rabbit cages hanging above, he might have got peed on 😦, I don't think he would appreciate a bath though, does double barred mean the white Bars are wider? I love how his feathers fall down long all over him, Thank you so much

I agree he is not a Barred Rock.
But I am not sure about whether he is single barred or double barred.

I think OP has another thread talking about a recently-hatched batch of chicks. That will probably answer the barring question: if he produces any chicks with no barring, he must have one gene for not-barred. But if he produces lots of chicks from non-barred hens, and all of the chicks have white barring, then he probably does have two barring genes.

Okay thank you so much some of the chicks are not striped so I'm assuming that means not barred....so I guess he is some kind of mix, very interesting learning all this new stuff. I appreciate yall very much
