I have a few paint silkie eggs and two went into lockdown. Both have pipped so can I raise the humidity as high as I want now because I don't have to worry about drowning? Can they still drown from high humidity even after they pip?

NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! You will get sticky chicks! Please leave it exactly as it is and don't touch anything. There is no need to raise the humidity. If you raise it too high even after pipping it develops a sticky substance like tree sap and can kill your chicks before they hatch. They humidity will raise enough during and after hatch when they are drying.

I have heard you need 60-70% hunidity to keep the chicks from shrink wrapping. Try a quick search using this humidiity number for more info. My LG manual says to increase the humidity at lockdown. GL
