ALL QUILTERS--need help and information

I have this quilt and I need to know the pattern if possible. It also has a small tear in one of the blocks, any suggestions on how to repair.

It is all hand quilted. very large.

Looks like a 9 patch with the center being a red square on either side there is a set of 3 blue blocks on the top there are 3 blocks blue red blue.


ETA---as for the torn block. I would cut a square just slightly larger than the torn one and sew it on through all 3 layers using a blind stitch.

The blue blocks are actually not squares, they are rectangular. I think it old pattern. thanks

9 patch put together with blue strip and red square strips..typical for old scrap quilts. I would do as Coyote said..blind stitch a square on top of torn square.

my grandmother once said to repair a square like that is going to be obvious it's a repair so make a small 9 patch square that would only be large enough to cover the one torn square so it looks like a patch.
