I've always had weak ankles. The first sprain I ever got required a cast for about a week, then I was in a whole heavy duty boot for a few weeks after that, then a brace and crutches, then physical therapy, braces, and KT tap for months after that.Hope your knee gets better. In September of 2020 i fell and hurt my ankle and it felt like one of my toes broke, my knees were all scraped up and infected, never having sprain or broke anything before, i was actually suprised when they told me i just sprain a tiny part of my foot was sprained. Ever since then i have ankle issues and knee issues. But i walk them off(or put a brace on). About 3 weeks ago, i hurt my ankle again, and had to wear the brace for a week(the longest ive ever worn it)
I think it was my third sprain, I stepped off a step sideways because I intended to turn a sharp left at the bottom. Didn't go to the doctor for that one, I was pretty seasoned at that point. We were at a lodge with a group of people, but some folks happened to have a brace and a friend had compression socks and KT tape. I totally tore through some ligament, and it's still floating around disconnected in my ankle, still hurts when I turn it in certain ways. I remember being able to feel the puddle of blood sloshing around in my foot with every step. I still twist my ankles way too often. And the tear affects my riding. Good times!

But as for the infection, this is the third infection I've had in my left leg in just the past five years, don't know what's up with that. They're like little cysts, but I thought they were just warts. Evidently not. I think the lymphatic system for my left leg is messed up. Got cat scratch fever once, lymph nodes for that leg never fully shrank back. Never had any sort of infection anywhere else!
