all who are hatching quail

No but it may have gotten a early start some how on the rest or just found a warm spot in the incubator. Maybe it is an over achiever. Pull him or & give the rest a few more days.

So I collected some 250 hatching eggs last night, and I forgot about them in the car... Global warming is alive and well my friends.

As a chef my hatching egg became the textbook standard for a hard boiled egg. Now it is the Carboiled Eggs

How high humidity at lock down is too high? Last time I hatched Coturnix eggs my humidity was 65% but then it jump to 75% I thought it was too high but my last egg died hatching because the membrane was all leathery.
I had to take the chicks out of the incubator right away because they were kicking the eggs all over and moving my temp gauge.
Is there any way to be able to take the other chicks out without wrecking it for the other eggs left to hatch?
Last time I got the humidity back up to 65% right away but the last egg still didn't make it.

I could really use some advice. I spontaneously stuck 3 quail eggs in my incubator that were in my neighbors yard from his quail. One was infertile and two developed but looks like only one is alive. He made an external pip last night (day 18). A small crack in the egg, in just the right spot. It's been 13 hours and no progress or movement. Do you think he's just resting? I found a video of a newly hatched baby quail and played it next to the incubator. (This always works for my chicken eggs that are pipped.). I watched closely and no movement. Is he ok in there?

I'd check it out. Last time I left an egg too long it died. Just flake a little shell away with your fingernail and see what's going on.
Be careful not to start any bleeding though.
Good luck!

This is what I needed to hear. I've never hatched quail but usually with chickens you can see a little piece is shell moving up and down as the chick breaths. I see nothing. I will investigate. Thank you so much!!

It can take up to 30 hours for a healthy quail chick to make from pip to hatch. Exiting the egg helps stimulate their metabolism and also qualifies as their first encounter with darwin. If they cant make it out on their own, they usually arent fit to.
