Hello all...
For several years, we've had chickens and enjoyed the fresh eggs. I've never in my life had an issue with chicken eggs. Last summer, we got a male and female Pekin duck. We started getting eggs, so naturally, I had the opportunity to enjoy a hard-boiled duck egg. It was deliciously wonderful. However, within the hour, I was on my way to the ER with nausea, vomiting, eyes swelling, and unable to swallow! This was a fresh, newly harvested egg, and I had had nothing else to eat prior to that for about four hours, so it had to be the duck egg. Even typing this out now and remembering my experience, still makes me quezy. Has anybody else had a similar experience?
