Well... its spring time, so its coop cleaning time. I have read many threads on bleach vs no bleach, oxine, vinegar, etc. I was wondering if anyone has ever used an alternative like lavender or other such old school remedies. Lavender is a very powerful anti-bacteria and anti-viral. I am thinking is using Lavender oil diluted down and spraying it on the coop floor and walls after cleaning. Not for the smell but to kill all the germs. Any thoughts?

Hokum, is the lime mix something that you make yourself or is it a mix that you can buy? I'm really new to this and would appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks
