I was told it is a white altsteirer
 I hope to rehome him to someone who needs him.  I don't plant to do anything with this breed.

I guess he could be. It could be the pic but I'm not seeing a crest. It would be nice if you could find someone in need of a white altsterier. He's a nice looking boy.

Took some cute pictures of my Alts this afternoon. They were enjoying some warm oatmeal and having a drink. I can't wait for them to start laying. They are 5 months old.

I received this chick as a freebie with an order. I am thinking it is rooster, but was wondering if anyone had thoughts on this.

Not sure where you ordered from but if it was a hatchery they don't carry rare breeds like Alsteirers (that have tassled crests). This might be a White Rock since a hatchery is more likely to carry Rocks rather than rare breeds.

My alts are almost 6 months old! They are getting more and more red on their combs and wattles...eggs should be here soon. The cockerel hasn't started crowing or showing any breeding behavior but is maturing into a very pretty little boy. I cannot wait for my breeding venture to start with these cute little things!

Hi - I didn't know TNBEARCHICK was S & T's adifferentchickfarm.com! I'm the one that emailed asking about your SFH & Pavie juvies! My DH wants me to wait until 2017 before ordering another 2 pullets but I definitely have you bookmarked as our source! What a small world! Keep up the great projects!

My two Altsteirer pullets finally started laying! They turned 6 months old at the end of March. They're laying tiny little white eggs! Hopefully their eggs get a little bigger after they've laid a few

Got a few good shots of my Altsteirer playing out in the backyard for a bit this afternoon. Happy birds! Since I only have two pullets for my one boy I've added a few non Altsteirer girls so he doesn't over breed anyone.
