Honestly I would be MUCH angrier at the 1000s of people who flick cigarette butts out the window everyday than a kid conducting a little experiment.
Whenever I see it happen I feel like pulling up next to them and shooting them the bird and hoping a cop is around.
When someone flicks one in my yard I make them go pick it up.

Nothing sets me on fire like cigarette litter

It all ends up on a beach eventually and gets picked up, it seems somewhat of an inconvenient truth.

I find hundreds of ballons each year in the woods while working. They seem to sink when they get out of the urban areas.

The local news must have been reading my mine. There was a story that just aired about 20 minutes ago about a group of people who volunteered in my Parish to pick up BOTTLES and other trash along the BAYOU banks. They showed ALL of the trash that people had thrown in the water. It was a MESS! It looked SOOOOOOOOOOOO bad. I wish that I would have known about this volunteer project. I would have gone to help them pick up all of the bottles and other trash. Looked like there were more "Messages in bottles".

I understand where your coming from, but I think it's better than those people emptying their septic tanks in our waters.
