Am I a Roo?

As for being caught in the nest box - nothing surprising about that - those are nice, comfy little beds for them and, for a less dominant bird, also a great place to "hide" from those who may target them. For birds who were not discouraged from being in the boxes as they grew up it is natural to continue in and out of them as they aren't automatically seen as just the place to go to lay eggs. I'd be working on dissuading this habit for this bird, though, unless you like messy, poopy egsgs.
 
Just wanted to update everyone on my gender status. I've got a Roo, I heard him crow this morning & it's a funny crow!
