Am I the only person in the whole wide world?

My mom raised six kids. She always said that kids should be put in a cage at the age of 2 and not let out until they were 18.
I'd rather have 10 german shepherds the size of Kane, all in the puppy stage, in this tiny house than to have kids over.

I liked what Bill Cosby said that HIS Father told him:

"Boy, If you don't do what I say...I'll take you OUT ! I brought you into this World, I can just as soon take you OUT of it!
I'll make another just like you !"

Ha-Ha !!!

Honestly, I really can't stand most other people's kids. I never liked kids or babies when I was younger but we ended up with two of our own anyway! I have loved every, well almost every, minute of raising them and have gone to every length to ensure they are growing up to be kind, respectful, productive young men.

That said, I was horrified recently while attending my younger son's Christmas music program. While waiting in our seats for the program to begin we were subjected to most all of the kids running up and down, screaming and yelling at each other, horsing around etc. etc. The noise was deafening. And the teacher's allowed all this! My son and only a few others were in their places and quietly waiting. When I was in school we came in and sat quietly in our seats until it was time to begin.

It's a shame that this is the type of behavior that seems to be the norm these days and is why I don't enjoy the company of most kids!

My Father had some good solutions for such misbehavin'.

One was a "Razor-strap". Another was "Standing at Attention" for an hour...any movement was another 15 minutes.

Either one will "settle you down" quite-a-bit.

Personally, I kinda like kids though I didn't when I was younger.
I hope you never be made to feel guilty or WRONG for not liking children. I think that if a lot of people were really honest with themselves they would discover that they DON'T like children are at least aren't good with them. But I think that most people believe that they HAVE to go to school, get married and have kids-that's the life plan and we must not deviate it from it in anyway. Bah, there's a whole life out there that can be lived without a partner or kids and I've made sure my kids know that. As a foster parent I've just seen too many people who should never have been parents and if they'd listened to that small voice inside of them instead of the big voice of society they could have avoided a lot of hurt and damage in this world.
