Pretty sure about four months old - can't remember! Sorry that the pics aren't very good. He/she is skittish but I can have my husband help me get better photos tomorrow if necessary.

Maybe there's something in our water - almost all the chicks I've bought or hatched this year have been boys!!!

Any uses for an Ameraucana rooster as far making olive Eggers, blue layers, Easter Eggers, etc?

You can absolutely use him for breeding EEs, OEs , and blue layers. True Ameraucanas are pure for the blue egg gene which means all his offspring will have one gene for the blue egg. Pair him with another blue layer or white layer to get more blue eggs. Pair him with a brown layer and you could get blue or green. Pair him with a dark brown layer and you could get blue or olive.

Awesome!!!! He came from a great breeder, so he should be a True Ameraucana.

Edited to add: most of my hens are brown layers. Plymouth Barred Rocks, Golden Comets, BLack Copper Marans, some Barnevelders and a Speckled Sussex that aren't laying yet, and one lone white layer - a newly purchased Legorn. Looks like I need to get some more white egg layers! :clap
