I recently got two chicks from the feed & seed and I am good friends with the owners...anyways they didn't order these chicks they hatched them their self they said the mother is an Ameraucana and the father is a question mark...My question is what should I call the babies EEs or what?? Quote:Yes, they would be. There is a chance the mother was an EE also.

    Exactly.

Many people label some difference in EE vs Ameraucana, yet still think their own Easter Egger parent birds are Ameraucanas (because their supplier said so)

But, who knows, the parent could indeed be purebred. [IMG] Either way it doesn't matter unless you want specifically green eggs or specifically a certain color of bird.

Then the mother was an Easter Egger. Again it doesn't really matter though, but there are some good chances your chicks will lay brown eggs, maybe green too, but there's some likely brown in there.
