ameraucana or easter egger?

Oh well i have one full grown hen im pretty certain is a true ameruacana but it doesnt matter my kids love finding the different colored eggs its one way to teach mine to help and chores bc they cant wait to find bkue/green eggs among the others :)

I just got 10 from a hatchery that are supposed to be full breed ameraucana and they look just like your photo....
Oh well. Same thing happened to us.

Our local farm store said they had true Araucanas, but it turned out they were Easter Eggers. If it has green legs and a pea comb, you can be sure it's an Easter Egger. However, don't feel bad. Easter Eggers are full of personality and are just as good as a true Ameraucana, minus the pure blue eggs.

Perhaps I should not have bought an "Ameraucana" off a craigslist add, but I have two already and love the eggs so much. I don't mind my rouge hen, but I would like to know what she is. I am thinking she is an Easter Egger. she lays a cream colored egg. Lighter than my tan Brahma, and Wyandotte ggs, with almost a peachy tint. I love her personality, so I am happy to have re-homed her, although I will never again buy mystery poultry. I just did not want to wait for spring.

I am such a bad chicky mamma, I took this picture of Sweet Heart as she was laying an egg. What the heck is she?

Thank you, Jonsccm! I don't mind having an EE at all. She is so sweet. (Hence the name Sweet Heart) I think I will just be more careful about dealing with unscrupulous sellers. Plus I want to only bring in NPIP chicks or hatching eggs into my flock, for health reasons.
