Ameraucana or EE? Hen or Roo?

Hello! Long time learner, first time poster. New to keeping my own chickens.

Wondering if these are Ameraucanas or EEs? And can you take a guess at pullet vs cockerel? They are about 8 weeks.

#1 is the largest and gives off the most Roo behaviour.
#2 got those longer tail feathers much faster than the other two. She is a sweetheart, really hoping she’s a she.
#3 also gives me Roo vibes, has short tail feathers, but is much smaller than #1

Where did you get them from? They look like they could be true 'canas. 1 & 3 are looking pretty red but I'm not sure if it's enough to say they are positively boys. I would update in a few weeks.

From a breeder, but it seemed…like the puppy mill of hatcheries instead of someone who takes pride in their lines. Almost every post I see, there are replies about how it’s an Ameraucana is actually an EE…was curious about mine

There IS an actual Ameraucana breed and that is different from an Easter Egger. BUT! Many hatcheries, feed stores, or backyard breeders, etc. will often spell it differently like Americana or similar. THOSE are the ones that are the same as an Easter Egger usually. But there is a real breed too.

I would say yours are EE pullets but give it more time.

Did they separate the colors? That’s another thing… true Ameraucanas have specific colors so usually you know that you’re buying a black Am versus another color, etc. EEs can be any color and lay any color egg. Ams only lay blue.

She did have separate colours, yes. Only black and grey chicks, in separate brooders

They do look like they could be pure, and I believe they’re all pullets
