Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

Of course, we're most attached to this little cutie who is looking to end up a boy? Would you agree? He's the sweetest little peanut ever. In fact, he was a "packing peanut" with our order and was soo teeny tiny we weren't sure if he was going to survive. He's almost 7 weeks old now.

Could be a cockerel, but honestly, at this young age it is tough to know for certain. Some pullets have VERY undefined, small bumps aside the main row of bumps in a pea comb. Can you post body photos? They might help. I'd say wait it out a bit, however, before deciding gender.

Kathy-Thanks for doing that! Those are some awesome pictures! I don't know how I would narrow it down to just 12! Cameras these days are SO much better than they used to be. Mine takes awesome pictures, but it is slow, so by the time it shoots my chickens have turned or moved or something, so I never seem to get the pictures I want. A new camera isn't in the works right now, at least not until I get my new barn done!

Awesome! I shared it on our facebook group if the link doesn't dissappear. I think I saw one of Jeremy's pics in there!

Good eye Amy! Picture #14 is one of my Blue Wheaten girls.

I think she's the only purebred Ameraucana in the running, too.
