Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

Donna- have you weighed them? How many pens are you going to have going? You can have more than one roo in a pen if they've grown up together. I know you said the big guy was kinda bullied though.
Are you giving them back to somebody?

I got a TON of birds and am splitting them with someone. I have my pick really... We just agreed that she would take two Lav roos.... Should I try to keep both?

I can have two pens if needed

or I can swap out the roos and hatch from both. I have not weighed them... I will take my scale in the morning. I will not be around a computer so if he weighs too much what should I do?

If there is ANY possibility of keeping both - I would absolutely keep both.

(My brother is driving through Nashville at some point tonight. I would SO love to have him stop by and take one of them off your hands for you. Either one ....

I have clean legged Ameraucanas!!!!

Even my funky Canadian dew can't put feathers on those legs.

(I have a cousin in Nashville. A road trip may be in order in the not too distant future. Eggs are MUCH easier to bring home than birds!!!!)

Yeah one might decide to do something silly like, I don't know, DIE? and then what would you do? You need a backup. Also what are you going to cross the daughters of one on? Viola! The other one! Promise your friend chicks later; they are much cuter than adult roosters anyway.

This is just for fun and I hope you appreciate my humor, but ask your friend, would she rather have #1 or....#2
