I'm hoping the lavender cockerel he is growing out makes the cut. He's supposed to let me know cause I'm wanting one.

Hi all,
I know everyone here are true Ameraucana lovers and I am too. I have 3, two blue and one splash all from a good breeder. Love them. They're so friendly and beautiful. One turned out to be a cockerel however, even though sexed a girl. He's gorgeous and from show stock. [And available!]
Nevertheless, he has not been rehomed yet and at 5 months has been courting the girls. With success shall we say.
My hens have just started laying eggs and I'm tempted to hatch some since I'll never have fertile eggs again once he's gone. I know, they'd be Easter Eggers!!!! Ack. I know many of you here also like them however and have mixed flocks so I am wondering if any of you could guess or know what I might get with the following:
Anyone ever have a blue Ameraucana x Australorp EE??
Or a blue Ameraucana x P Barred Rock EE??
Or oddly enough, a blue Ameraucana x black Silkie EE???!
I appreciate any and all thoughts!! And or pictures.
Thank you so much.

If this is your only chance to hatch your own fertile eggs, why not just hatch them? I love my mixed breed olive-eggers. I personal find it fun to hatch when I'm not entirely sure what the results will be.
I was looking at leg color, comb, and beard.Did not have any with slate legs and only a trio in the barred.Trying to find a genetic solution to the spotted legs that barring produces. Most were spotted legs.Hoping the trio will produce more with slate legs.Wow! Thanks for the pictures. Really pretty. I sure hope it's my PR that's laying some. I'd really like this EE. What about the blue barred did you not like? Colors not as striking?
Thank You!!![]()
Any other experiences? Australorp EE or Silkie EE? Surely there's a silkie EE somewhere....![]()
If you use a BR rooster over blue hens as I did all chicks will be barred. The cockerels will be single factored.I have had silkie crosses in the past for broodies but no pics available. The BR with you Blue Roo will make sexlinks. All the roos will be barred.
