Hopefully, Jean will take note of this and give Michael a gentle nudge.

Hello, New guy here......
I am 23 years old, and spent most of my childhood around Old English Game bantams and bantam RIR's. I have always been a chicken guy, but two years in Brazil and another two living inside city limits kept me away from them. When my wife and I moved to an area that allowed chickens (including roosters), I knew that I wanted to get back in to" the game". I had planned on starting back up with what I knew best, but for some reason the Wheaten/Blue Wheaten varieties of Ameraucanas caught my attention....... I know from breeding OEGB's that the color alone is a challenge, especially when working with blues, but thats the fun part, right? If anyone has links to any clubs, or knows of any good breeders in AZ, I would love to hear from you.

Thanks!

I'm sure he's a busy guy and a volunteer, I've been on his end and it's not easy sometimes keeping up

(see those cleansing breaths do work ;-)

I don't think Jean needs to give anybody a "nudge" when he is volunteering his time for free. With all the new faces in the club, anyone who wants to help would be welcome to run for various positions. Some of the old guard may enjoy some time in a supervisory position.

Do the ameraucanas have problems with their feet being deformed? Especially the wheaten?

I can't speak for everyone, but one breeder in particular I have had horrible issues with. I do not have that person's line anymore. What I do have is perfectly fine - I think the amount of line/inbreeding plays a huge part in the foot deformities.

Can someone point me to a place to read about Ameraucana genetics or let me know what to expect crossing a blue wheaten rooster with blue and black hens. Thanks!

Blue and Black EE. Wheaten is recessive and will not express in that cross. Usually you would not cross one variety with another... makes EE.
